Gene Sequencing

Full Spectrum has designed and developed a variety of systems which included microfluidic controls, PCR control, thermo-cyclers, data acquisition, synchronization, laser and optical sub-system control, image analysis for fully automated gene sequencing, machine control, GUI development for both touch screen and desktop, reporting and ultra-high-performance back-end processing systems for gene sequencing analysis.

Microscopy

Designed and developed automated image acquisition, stage controls and a variety of applications for both diagnostic/clinical imaging and educational settings for teaching cellular analysis.

Molecular Imaging

Full Spectrum has designed and developed a wide variety of imaging systems. Software development and SQA includes electrophoresis gel imaging, small animal imaging for lesion detection, driver development (Firewire, USB, PCI), image processing and manipulation, lane finding, row finding, edge detection, image rendering, camera controls including brightness, contrast, color balancing, back-end storage, GUI (including annotation control and zooming). Other imaging applications include ultra-long exposure for chemoluminescence, driver development and dark image noise correction.

Synchronization of Audio and Video

Full Spectrum Software has designed and developed a variety of techniques for audio and video synchronization in both research and clinical devices.

Microfluidic Controls

Designed and developed microfluidic controls for use in a variety of domains, for delivery of reagents, buffering fluids, sanitization, automated sample preparation, sample analysis, half-life calculation for high energy materials, tracking consumables and reagent wash in gene sequencing applications.

Thermal Controls

Designed and developed systems for control of thermo-cyclers in PCR instruments. In addition, Full Spectrum Software developed the communications to the hardware and synchronization with the rest of the reaction systems.

GPS

Full Spectrum has designed and developed a variety of GPS-based systems including topographical mapping, vehicular and personal travel applications. Integration of GPS with various protocols and a number of different devices.

Clinical Lab Automation

Workflow Optimization: Designed and developed "producer/consumer" system architecture to insure that all mechanical elements of the lab instrument that are processing samples are in near simultaneous operation in order to optimize throughput and decrease cost of ownership.

Mechanical Control: Developed pick and place, fluidic and thermal control systems for high throughput lab instrumentation.

Remote Monitoring: Developed systems to have browser interfaces to allow lab instruments to have web services running within them. These systems are used to ensure that the instruments are being serviced properly, calibration is being run properly and that errors are not occurring and other types of technical support.

Robotic Controls

Designed and developed robotic pick and place systems and conveyor control systems for security checkpoint devices. Full Spectrum Software developed sophisticated algorithms for exception handling in robotic control systems.

Chromatography - Spectroscopy

Full Spectrum designed and developed a variety of touch-screen controls and thermal and/or electro-phoretic control systems. Performed software V&V on a combination high speed LGC and a single mobile ion detection spectrometer used in explosives detection.

X-Ray

Developed 2-D and 3-D X-Ray imaging systems for neural targeting, radiation therapy and security applications.

Lab Quality Systems

Designed and developed a document management system for maintaining installations and operational qualifications for lab creation as well as lab maintenance.

Photonics

Designed and developed software to analyze images that are produced at varying wavelengths, mixing and un-mixing images utilizing a variety of methods on proprietary hardware. These applications are used in a diagnostic or clinical setting to detect disease and in commercial applications for detecting diseased areas of a crop and lesion detection in animals.

Document Storage and Retrieval

Designed and developed drivers for imaging devices, compression, and archiving. GUI development for document storage and retrieval systems.
